Presentation Rough Draft
Objective: Students will learn about the nature of the broadcasting industry and what one needs to do in order, to be a successful editor.
Procedure:
1. I will introduce myself and my topic
2. I will ask students what they know about the broadcasting industry. Also I will ask them to name at least six occupations. The reason I’m asking them to name at least six occupations is because majority of people can only name about three or four.
3. Then I will talk about what the those jobs are, based on their categories and talk about what category an editor falls into.
4. I will talk about the working conditions, the erratic work schedule, and the work environment.
5. I will talk about the training necessary to get a job as an editor in this industry and how to advance.
Checking for Understanding: The way I plan on checking for understanding is by asking the class if they have any questions or any clarifying. Also I want this presentation to be more like a discussion, and hopefully the class can let me know what I need to address more or what I might need to explain more thoroughly.
